And it Starts Again

I decided to start my blog up again. Only this time it is from the beginning of the deployment and not the end. My husband left on Thursday, Aug. 20th, 2009. Last deployment I stayed in Kansas, where my husband is stationed, so I could go to school. This time I am going to stay with my parents in Arizona. So my husband and I have spent the month of August packing up the house. I still have a few things to do before I leave, but all of the big heavy items have been moved.

Last time I blogged I was contemplating a job. I ended up working at Best Buy. I decided to transfer to one of the stores in Tucson. So I have a job as soon as I arrive. Working when you are essentially a single parent is very difficult. I'm not sure how people do it without the help of family or close friends. I could handle going to school and being a single parent, mostly because class isn't mandatory. It is very hard to miss work and keep your job. So moving to Arizona with my parents is a big help.

Well I suppose I should end this post and get to work finishing up packing. I miss my husband when he's gone, but I'm so used to him deploying it is hard to get too emotional. Most wives who have done this a time or two I think feel the same way. I've sent my husband off 4 times since we've been married. That doesn't count the two times that I was deployed with him, since I was also in the military. It also doesn't take into account the month here and there for training. Sometimes it feels like we have been apart more than we have been together. What am I going to do when he retires from the military and he's home all the time. I may go crazy.
